As the 2021 trade deadline approaches — Thursday, March 25th— Celtic’s GM Danny Ainge has a lot of decisions to make. Danny Ainge has been known to not trade any players or picks away during the season, rather depend on drafting young players and signing free agents. But if they want to contend for a championship this year, he knows he needs to trade assets.

Within the last 24 hours, a lot of rumors and breaking news have come out, and according to Bleacher Report, the Boston Celtics are in talks with the Orlando Magic to trade for 25-year-old Forward Aaron Gordon and 28-year-old Guard/Forward Evan Fournier.

Aaron Gordon, this season, is averaging 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists Evan Fournier, this season, is averaging 19.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists

Both player s can make a huge impact for the Celtics, with Aaron Gordon being able to help grab rebounds and improve their in-paint defense, and Evan Fournier giving them playmaking off the bench, and someone who can be a shot creator.

Rumors for the trade are, Guard Marcus Smart, Forward Robert Williams, and two first-round picks for Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier. This trade sets up both teams for what they look toward in the future, as the Celtics are looking to build a championship roster, and the Magic look to rebuild.

Thoughts on this trade rumor?
